E4 Forever Communities

The multiplier event “Forever Communities” claimed for attention to the city green areas, in a scope related to the adaptations to climate change and related health issues in urban areas. We aimed at disclosing the project as much as possible in the Portuguese academia and local civil society. We counted on previous contacts – associations, stakeholders, etc – to help us in the dissemination of the project results, although the main targeted population are the students at Iscte.
“Forever Communities” took place in Iscte and in Alvalade District. Both places were meant to host academic and non academic people.
28 September 2023. We followed a classical day organization of a morning with seminar type, to present the project and conferences/lectures. Our attention was on build environment and urban green areas, with special detail to include solutions.
The afternoon was designed to include a walk and a workshop, described in the following sections of this report.
This Multiplier Event was design to host specific knowledge and to boost skills considering green spaces in the cities, so we invited biologists and architects to share their knowledge. Participants include students, researchers from different universities, workers in the municipality, and even a Theatre Company!

C2 Joint Intensive Course

The Joint Intensive Course is an initiative of Erasmus+ Project CliCCHE Climate change, Cities, Communities and Equity in Health (CNR, UNICAM, UB, CYI, ISCTE), that brings together 10 researchers/teachers and 20 students from the different partners’ universities. During this week, partners and students will present results developed in the months before, especially in their Local Workshops, aiming at the evaluation of the methodology and educational tools, examining what worked better, so that the project can be in the position of producing a Toolkit for healthy urban planning and urban participation.
